The Parish Council has recently become aware of an Environmental Impact Assessment Screening exercise which will be used to inform a future planning application.
The Outline planning application will be for the erection of 133 dwellings with access and associated parking, access roads, public open space, landscaping, sustainable urban drainage, and other associated works, on land to the west of Moorsfield Avenue, Audlem, Cheshire East.
The Consultation end date is 6th March 2025 and the Parish Council has contacted Cheshire East Planning to ask for an extension. This will enable the application to be considered at the full Parish Council meeting on 20th March, which will include, as always, a public session, during which members of the public can address the Parish Council with any concerns or questions.
The Parish Council is keen to liaise with residents regarding this application so it can represent the views of the community, whilst also ensuring that any comments are based on material planning considerations.
We welcome the views of the community and look forward to hearing from parishioners at the Full Parish Council meeting.
Residents are reminded that they can submit their own comments to the Local Planning Authority (LPA) directly via the Cheshire East Council Planning Portal Cheshire East:
https://pa.cheshireeast.gov.uk/planning/index.html?fa=getApplication&id=398814
you will need to register with the LPA if you have not done so before – there is a button 'to register' at the top of the page when you click on the box 'make a representation' which is halfway down the link provided.
The village of Audlem is part of the unitary authority of Cheshire East.
